* Cảm nhận ban đầu:
– Energy Boost 2 có thiết kế rất thú vị khi kết hợp được 2 yếu tố: Phong cách đơn giản, chắc chắn và lịch lãm đúng chất Adidas, và nét trẻ trung, hiện đại với form giày thon gọn và phần mũi vuốt cao.
– Với phần upper sử dụng công nghệ Techfit, bất kì ai yêu thích giày đều biết là có thể hoàn toàn yên tâm về mặt thông thoáng cũng như độ ôm chân của đôi giày.
– 1 điểm trừ rất lớn là phần midsole (với chất liệu Boost) màu trắng. Ngoài yếu tố rất dễ dơ, vốn chỉ là chuyện nhỏ với những runner thực thụ nhưng có thể là mối quan tâm của người bình thường, thì trở ngại lớn về tâm lý là nhìn rất giống chất liệu mút, xốp.
– Phần heel counter chắc chắn, cùng với outsole có các sensor dàn trải đều và liên kết chặt chẽ cho thấy đây là 1 đôi giày có độ ổn định cao.
– Điều ngạc nhiên đầu tiên của tôi là đôi giày nhẹ hơn nhiều so với phán đoán. Nếu chỉ nhìn thì sẽ dễ dàng cho rằng đôi giày phải cỡ 11-12oz (size 9US), nhưng khi cầm trên tay thì mới thấy chỉ khoảng 9.5 – 10oz.
* Mang giày và chạy thử:
– Cảm giác khi mang giày đúng như dự đoán: êm và ôm gọn chân, cử động bàn chân tương đối thoải mái.
– Là người quen chạy với minimalist shoes, cảm giác chủ đạo với tôi khi mang Boost 2 là nó quá êm và giống như đang cưỡi trên 2 tấm đệm lò xo, haha. Quả thật mỗi bước chạy đều được tiếp thêm lực đẩy nên cảm giác của người chạy là có vẻ bước chạy mạnh mẽ hơn, tốc độ cũng cao hơn, đặc biệt trong khoảng 5km đầu.
– Sau quãng đường 15km, đôi giày vẫn thể hiện rất tốt ở việc thoát hơi và đảm bảo thông thoáng.
– Độ ổn định của đôi giày cũng là 1 ưu điểm đáng khen ngợi. Đặc biệt khi chúng ta cân nhắc đến việc đây là 1 đôi giày tương đối cao và chất liệu Boost có độ nảy ấn tượng (độ nảy hơn hẳn so với chất liệu EVA).
– Dù là Midfoot Striker, tôi đã thử chạy cả 3 form (Forefoot Strike, Midfoot Strike, Heel Strike) khi chạy Boost 2. Kết luận là Boost 2 phù hợp nhất vẫn là với Heel Strike, chạy Midfoot Strike thì vẫn được dù hơi miễn cưỡng (từ đây suy ra heel-drop của Boost 2 có lẽ là khoảng 10mm, thông số này chắc phải chờ thông tin từ hãng xác nhận), còn Forefoot Strike thì không tận dụng được gì từ ưu thế của chất liệu mới.
* Thay cho kết luận:
Với những người mới bắt đầu chạy bộ, không quá khắt khe về mục tiêu tập luyện và muốn tìm kiếm sự tổng hòa các yếu tố thời trang, thương hiệu, thoải mái ở cự li ngắn thì Energy Boost 2 là 1 lựa chọn đáng cân nhắc.
Khả năng hoàn trả năng lượng (energy return) không phải là điều gì mới lạ đối với giày thể thao. Khái niệm này đã xuất hiện từ cách đây vài năm, nhưng là ở cấu trúc giày.
Das rất khôn ngoan khi tuyên bố về điểm độc đáo khả năng hoàn trả năng lượng CỦA CHẤT LIỆU BOOST. Có lẽ là do đặc điểm về cấu trúc của các hạt Boost, nén lại tích lũy năng lượng khi trọng lượng dồn xuống bàn chân và hoàn trả ở giai đoạn đẩy. Đây là 1 bước tiến về mặt công nghệ, nhưng có lẽ Das cần cải thiện nhiều hơn để có thể thuyết phục được những runner thực thụ, đặc biệt là distance runner, ở 1 số điểm sau:
– Width size: Energy Boost 2 được thiết kế form D, điều này khiến cho những người có bàn chân bè – vốn rất phổ biến ở những đất nước mà người dân có thói quen đi chân đất như Việt Nam – sẽ khó cảm thấy thoải mái tối đa khi sử dụng đôi giày này cho cự li dài (từ 21km trở lên). Có lẽ với những phiên bản sau, Das nên cân nhắc có thêm option form E, hoặc thậm chí EE.
